Company Profile

On-Line Technologies is a professional software development group specializing in the “On-Line” delivery of customer contact center solutions.  Our goal is to enhance your success by introducing and supporting state of the art software solutions and automation to your customer contact center.
On-Line Technologies was founded by Sotero P. Giftos Jr. and Jay S. Gowell in 2003.   The two are well seasoned and accomplished developers of solutions for the customer contact center industry.

Management Team

Sotero Giftos
President and co-founder, Soty is the technical foundation of which this company is formed. Soty holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern Maine, and has completed his coursework for an MS in Computer Science as well.  He is also a part-time faculty member at the University of Southern Maine, teaching computer programming courses.  Prior to co-founding On-Line Technologies, Soty provided custom programming and support to several local call centers. Soty also served as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for an Internet sales and marketing organization and before that as the Information Technology Manager at a direct response call center that employed over 300 employees at two locations in Southern Maine.

Jay Gowell
As Vice President of On-Line Technologies, Jay provides executive direction throughout the organization. Jay’s background of nearly 20 years in the technology field brings an invaluable set of experiences working across many industries.  Most recently, Jay served as Director of Information Services at a Maine based call center with 200 employees.  Earlier, Jay started a software solutions company, TekData, Inc. that specialized in solutions for call centers. This exposed Jay to many call centers and their unique ways of selling and servicing. Jay also was the President and co-owner of Coastal Computer Center, a local computer sales, support and engineering firm in the 1990’s.

Development Team

Our staff of developers have comprehensive Call Center Experience.  Nearly all of our developers have worked for local area call centers in the past and have more than 25 years of combined experience in the Call Center industry.  Technologically, their backgrounds are very comprehensive in the following areas:  Web Programming, Traditional Client/Server Programming, Distributed Programming, Relational Database Management and Telephony Integration.
